Um- in what context do you mean there isn't anything wrong with it? All absolutist beliefs can be destructive to people who are haplessly classified as the "other". So there is nothing more wrong with the Christian Religions than there are with the Muslim religions, the Jewish religions, or nationalism, or communism, or any other religion or "ism" taken to the extreme. And I'll put my knowledge of history and philosophy up against yours, or anyones, anytime. Although I recognize how much I do not know, I know where to find what I want and I am far from uneducated.

Absurd remark! Nothing wrong with Christianity? It not as bad as ancient Hebrew mass murder or Aztec sacrifices, or Moloch, but tell that to the victims of the Crusades, the Missionaries (Mexico, Philippines, China, and many other places), the Inquisition, the Witchburnings, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Now to find an unbiased teach to teach Western Civilization. I teach a class who told me no one had ever read the Bible, only one a poem (four liner by E.D.), or any book or article of philosophy. None of them had a vision for their future, or had an ethical foundation, had never heard of utilitarianism or deontology (duty-based ethics).

Way to go USA!

They were probably lying through their teeth. They didn't know what the Categorical Imperative was, either.
