PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 1999--ConSyGen Inc. (Nasdaq:CSGI - news) Monday announced that it has been awarded a significant contract to provide Year 2000 remediation services for The Union-Tribune Publishing Co. in San Diego.

The Union-Tribune Publishing Co. is an operating division of the Copley Press Inc. of La Jolla, Calif. The Copley Press publishes The San Diego Union-Tribune, one of the oldest businesses in San Diego County, operating continuously for more than 130 years. Gene Bell is chief executive officer and President of The Union-Tribune Publishing Co., and Karin Winner is editor of The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The San Diego Union-Tribune is the major metropolitan newspaper in the San Diego area and is the second largest newspaper in Southern California, with approximately a 380,000 daily and 450,000 Sunday circulation.
