For the small retail Internet trading accounts, that's the "reality" for about a dozen internet stocks, includes Amzn/Yhoo/Ebay......

Waterhouse, Fedelity, E-Shb.,.....etc.

Why not? If your lender (brokerage) thinks it is a bad risk they should have every right to deny the loan.

I don't think the fed should poke it's nose into this business though.

I don't really put AMZN with scam stocks they refuse to margin, but they should be allowed to limit their risk if they want to.

the loose ends on irresponsible traders.. FED to tighten money supply:

is headed for recession.<<
