Steve, Got some good news for anyone who travels by air.

This is a bit off-topic, but some might appreciate hearing about my experience yesterday getting airline tickets for Robin Dayne's seminar in New Hampshire. First, I called my "usual" local travel agent and got a recorded message saying the number was no longer in service. Wow! Poor guys.

Next, I got on the web (where I seem to be all day everyday anyway) and searched all the usual travel sites. Spent a couple of hours navigating around, filling out all their questionaires about my travel preferences and so forth, got a bunch of flight quotes ranging from $500-1600 for roundtrip New Orleans to Manchester, NH. By the way, none of the return flights were on Friday night as I requested, all on Saturday, some even late Saturday night for a seminar that ends Friday afternoon.

Finally, I called a toll free number that Robin gave me (800-377-1000) for a company called "Cheap Tickets." Well, in about 10 minutes I had confirmed reservations for the exact travel dates and times I had requested, non-stop flights, for only $272. Ordered tickets last night, got them delivered to my home this morning via Airborne for about $10. Would have only been $6.50 if I would wait three days. I was quite impressed.

So, anyone who spends enough time on the web already, doesn't think $1,500 is such a good deal, and prefers a 10-minute call to a live human might want to try Cheap Tickets. I'm glad I did, and I thank Robin for mentioning it to me.

By the way, little bit of a trip for me, too. I'm in New Orleans, not particularly looking forward to seeing New Hampshire in the middle of winter.

Bill
