I have spoken with the company president of Gel Tech and a director of the GumTech company. They would not give me exact profit margins, but I was told they would make shareholders very happy.

The GUMM people are softpeddling this a bit to the media so that people do not think they are a hoax, since they are not big names in the pharmaceutical world.

They are trying to build the name ZICAM rather than the name of the stock or GumTech. This company will do very well with the product.

I mentioned specific problems I had with the GUMM press release (lame first line stating an agreement when PRODUCT IS ALREADY ON THE SHELVES, use of the word "homeopathic" rather than 'nonprescription' in the title and a big difference in tone between Geltech and Gumtech press releases).

The GUMM people were more concerned with an orderly procedure of things rather than a pump and dump.

ZICAM - How it works.

In case you haven't seen the video at zicam.com, ZICAM works by having a matrix (zinullose) attach (like a tenacious slurry) to the lining cells of the nasal passages. The Zinc ions bind to the ICAM adhesion molecule binding site so that the viruses cannot attach.

"...particularly if you have the only product that will reduce
a cold to 1 1/2 days, rather than enduring a cold for 14 days"

Yes, that is the big if, isnt it? It's just too soon for many folks to simply assume on the word of the CO. that this works as claimed. It's not as though such a claim could be expected to easily be believed- predictably, the word on this seems to be have a less than wonderful effect on the stock price. Hey, the reported results may well be true, but resistance to this sort of thing- and without an FDA drug approval required?- is that right? -ahem! -will be strong. Of course if it works, they will come in time. :-)
