I too use Borland products and think a lot of them... and the stock decline is worrisome. But your comment -- "but this company is being managed into the ground." -- do we know this, or are we just reacting to the stock price? Some will argue that it's management's duty etc to maximize shareholder value (and they are accountable via Board of Directors etc) and hence management should be doing whatever is necessary to make the stock price go up.

But I have trouble with the notion that the market reaction, on a day-by-day basis, is an insightful measure of how a company is doing in building high-quality tools and services for a complex market. It might indeed be true that the company is being managed into the ground... but I don't think that market reaction necessarily tells us that (though it could become self-fulfilling if low price undercut confidence of tool users.)

Anyone have anything concrete to say about the view from inside?
