Slider, if we finish up at 51 or so, on decent volume, I'll look to buy. If we close near the lows, I won't.

Remember -- it's only a quadruple bottom if it holds. Sometimes, in fact quite often, a support isn't violated the first or second time it is revisited. I understand there has not been huge dumping this time. That won't come unless the floor is broken. I don't feel a decline of 20-30% from here is probable, but it certainly is possible.

EDIT:

I see some buying coming in, but I can't judge the strength, or whether it is shorts taking profits.

The fundamental problem with these stocks is that the markets are completely dominated by traders; very few long-term investors. If there were major investors out there willing to support these stocks on weakness, the traders and short sellers would not be having a field day.

Until institutional invetors come into these stocks big time on a long term basis; this kind of yo yo action will continue.

Slider, it is really difficult to read your lengthy posts.. so I print
and safe them to grasp all the details sometimes later.

One thing you should be completely positive about... Russia is not going to collapse: it can endure most horrible suffering. But it is shifting decidedly now to the left... and, it will take time, but it will return to some form of, as you call it, communism. This is inevitable.
