CNBC just flashed the CPQ close at 47 1/4

Now, I know these flashes are usually wrong and 5-10 min old ... but I don't believe CPQ traded @ 47 1/4 since before 3pm ??

Maybe today's final 5:01 NYSE goofy trade will be at 47 1/4.

I can't find any information of a meeting anywhere on the web and I'm totally disgusted with this piglet and the farmers that own it.

El......................

I know what you mean, i am pretty disgruntled at this point, and I agree, it's not the AV thing at ALL!

Here it is in a "nutshell"..............

Other stocks are performing better and without near as much baggage. I am SO TIRED of seeing dell go up 3 points a day while we go sideways.......now, without news.......well, you know.

El: I inferred from one of the excerpts I read on this thread last night that there was a cc yesterday, closed to the public. During that supposed cc analysts discovered that 5 cents of the 43 was a one-time tax credit. However, that piece of "news" has been put into question by Kumar's piece published earlier on the thread to the effect that 2 or 3 cents was due to a favourable tax rate - whatever that means - and 2 cents to improved margins. So who knows, was there a cc. If there was a cc what is the point of a Friday meeting. The Friday meeting was mentioned last week by Faber. But perhaps that was originally intended to deal with a Time Warner announcement. I also rememebr previous media reports of a meeting after earnings. There is nothing on the company site about a Friday meeting. I would hope somebody in the US could call Investor Relations and find out.
