If they said that I think they are wrong. I suspect they meant 99Q1 will be more than 98Q1 revenue.

Most retailers to the vast majority of yearly sales in the holiday season.


They did actually say that, and others do actually believe it. Unless they are going out on an incredibly thin branch, when the numbers come in it will provide proof of a remarkably robust growth path. I suspect that international sales will represent a good chunk of that growth. Especially impressive in light of the Q4 holiday sales they must match. My only comment on believability is that they must have some idea of how the Q is going so far, and base their projection for sequential growth on that.

I do not know how many dollars they had in gift certificates. Gift certificates show up as sales when redeemed. That may be a large factor.
