Johnd, Glad to see you in the bull camp but I am getting
a little cautious about MSFT price movement for the next
month or so. I am expecting MSFT to be somewhat flat til
late February (i am still long). There should be big move
in March leading to split---expecting 200.
I wanted out of my short term February option--out 85% of
what I bought yesterday. Holding April/March call along
with leaps. Personally I am looking to Dell and CSCO
to keep pushing in the next little while. Hoping MSFT
and INTEL shoot up in March.(Intel 155; MSFT 200)

However, you never know what will happen in the next month.
Maybe this internet craze might spill over to MSFT in a
big way. It looks like people are willing to pay any price
for the net and why not buy MSFT/DELL/CSCO as conservative
net stocks. MSFT has it all, a portal, an ISP, software for
the net. IT HAS GOT IT ALL. MSFT is my only very long term
buy in stocks. (others are just long term buys not very long
term).

Well I do know that no human can predict short term stock behavior, including myself.
Hey, John, we all learn it, don't we! I bet when we "plateau" though, you will get antsy, like T2, and start playing short term.
I agree with your numbers, I was up almost 10 on AOL today, and over 5 on Msft, Dell, and Cisco, for a 4.8% one day jump in my total portfolio. I just don't see anything on the horizon that is going to stop the stocks of these four companies.

Welcome back, johnd, not that you ever left - or was that your evil twin rooting for a correction? This week has been as close to heaven as a Gorilla lover could want; glad to see you're participating in it.
