ecom ecom.com, inc.: Internet Company Adopts New Name

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- US Amateur Sports, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: USSP) announced today that it has filed Form 14C with the
Securities and Exchange Commission to implement a change in the name of the
corporation. The new name will be ecom ecom.com, inc. The Company will file a
formal notification to shareholders this month.
According to CEO David J. Panaia, the new name more accurately reflects
the nature of the Company's core business -- e-commerce. "The marketing
principles we've learned from our experience in selling sports-related
products over the Internet has led to the development of an e-commerce model
we call 'The Power of 2,'" said Panaia. "This model can be applied to the
marketing of virtually any product."
ecom ecom.com's new web site will include among its features the "ecom
Trader." Although this new concept includes a silent auction, the Company is
quick to point out that ecom Trader differs from other on-line auction sites
such as eBay by offering patrons a venue to swap merchandise plus an on-line
store to post items for sale. ecom Trader will also differ in attitude toward
its customers by guaranteeing satisfaction rather than adopting a policy of
"buyer beware." ecom Trader is scheduled to be released at the beginning of
February.
Trading under the symbol USSP, the Company's stock price jumped last week
from a low of $.09 to an all-time high of $2.62 before settling at $1.19 to
close the year. Although about three million USSP shares traded last week,
recent articles by Market Pulse Journal and CBS Marketwatch noted that the
stock is still virtually undiscovered by larger investors.
