Bruce,

"Bouncing back" seems to "happen" most days for a lot of stocks. I've noticed how market makers will often drop the bid all day long causing selling then up the bid and ask minutes before the close. Anyone looking at the chart will conclude that the stock is UP on increased volume!

I tried my hand at Instinet buying today and got burned. The bid and ask on MAPX were up 3/4 hour before the market opened so I bought 1000 shares (minimum allowed). By the time the market opened the stock was down almost 2 points! Ouch!
