Tim, they mentioned on CNBC tonight that an investor pulled his shares out of CPQ and into DELL.. are you going to fess up to this?? be honest now.. :) Dawg- waterhouse did you a favor.. They stink,.. they all stink to high heaven.. and whats worse, they have the nerve on CNBC to imply that its the individual day traders who dont understand how to enter orders.. I remember when ameritrade sold DELL short 1000 shares for me just after the last split and they actually got nasty with me saying that there was no way they could have made the mistake, and to top it all off the stock was up 10 points so I was getting beaten.. Welp, they finally found the error and apologized.. That was strike 2 for them.. The COOL episode was the last straw, but suffice to say they took 30 minutes to fill my orders and lost me alot of money.. I immediately switched to Watley and have never had a single problem since... the extra commission is made up for in one trade where fast execution gives me an edge.. Waldeen- these damn earnings plays are killing me.. if I do them, I get my butt handed to me.. if I avoid, they explode.. I may start taking small positions in the likes of CSCO and DELL, and try to get myself a 5 point cushion going into the earnings.. this way, im buffered.. I really screwed up on DELL but cant say I wasnt warned it was going to rocket.. CREAF reports after the bell tomorrow.. Im taking it real easy tomorrow so I may just do a 500sh buy at some point there and get out by days end.. Also lots of ipos, 6 if im not mistaken will be out tomorrow so ill be buying 100 shares of the 3 tops performers at market close tomorrow for small gaps on Monday.. This works almost 90% of the time so dont let the secret out..
