Just noticed the Jan. shorts are out and ULBI's are up 20,000 shares. VLNC's are up 200,000 shares.

Another stock Ampex (axc) that I sold at a $1 because sales were going down the tubes and were losing law suites, it is now at $5. They were above $6 one and half years ago and had drop to 7/8 recently. Things ago real ugly, lots of name calling and request for the CEO to resign. The tape market in general was declining. AXC had one thing going for it and that was a lot of cash, $60M, $30M of it borrowed. They bought their way out acquiring other companies.

ULBI looks better with $30M cash and their main source of sales, 9v batteries, increasing at 60% annual. My survey of local Radio Shack's indicates higher increases and the sales personnel seem very positive about the the battery.

However this may not hit the bottom line yet because of increasing R&D, suppling 60+ potential customers with large sample sizes doesn't come cheap. Their can always cut back some on their R&D and show positive earnings, I hope they don't just yet.
