Hi Darryl,

I've been here before with this stock.Tech stocks in general are so explosive(both up and down) - actual news is way too late. When bookings and backlog begin to grow the stock has recovered 100% from the bottom. When earnings are topping out and have never been better, the stock has gone thru distribution and is declining.

This futuristic discounting of tech sector is REALLY frustrating.I have learned the hard way.I do not pretend to have a chrystal ball but I have paid attention to the past. This in studying the past is KEY.When backlogs and new orders exceed the last quarter's numbers Cohu's stock price will rise. From a general observation of frontend big cap tech stocks,it is safe to say the bottom is in.You won't here that from the cautious management of Cohu and that's why I like them. They pay attention to their business and not our fickle game of pricing equities.( I don't blame them -their historical margins are so good - it would and does grab my attention also < VLG >).

I'm in the car business and we have cycles, these poor guys have margins that are unreal, but they have dealt with 3 times as many down cucles as I have over the same years.

How do they address this - It's what I tell my employees "we are going to get bullet proof". Cohu knows and does this like no other company I know. They are good - they hunker down when it gets tough - and they still reinvent the next generation of what is best in the industry. That is why they excell.

Conservative in the good times and aggressive in the bad = my kind of company.

For a similar comparison look up Electroglas's earnings announcement also made today. See the difference. Feel very good about your money being invested with this group of professional people working in a very unstable and dynamic industry.

All of the above IMHO

Bob

P.S. Darryl - if it gets cheap - BUY MORE !!!!! HEHEHEHE !!!!!
