Michelle -- I never short. There was a big debate over the 'sequential growth' statement and I think people just wanted to figure out what it meant.

a bookstore that is not making money definitely is not worth 100+. It is a 10$ stock. If it's a super-duper cancer drug or extra-potent hair growing, maybe. But books? no way. imo

What does that have to do with anything? How much business can Amazon do in technical books at whatever margin to justify the stock price? Beside, they have always ben strong with the techies (like myself) but that is not where the market is driving nor where they need to go to amass the sales they will need to pay off $1.5+ billion in debt.
