Thanks Gersh, Yes I have seen the spread widen before the security changed direction or ticked up or down but usually immediately following that the spread will narrow back down somewhat. ie. Ask at 1/4 bid 1/8 .. ask moves to 3/8 and bid stays at 1/8 for a few seconds then if the move is real the bid will move to 1/4 so on and so forth.

What I saw today and for the last few days is the ask say 92 1/4 bid 91 5/16 and bid moving up to maybe 91 3/4 ask stays 92 1/4 bid moves back to 5/16 and this goes on for a long time.

Therefore, I think you and YZ are both right and that maybe what I am seeing is the boy selling with both hands. BWDIK
