LRCX reported a better than expected number with a bullish statement. Hope this will bold well for the whole industry:

"Early signs of a recovery in the semiconductor industry have led to increased demand for wafer processing equipment," stated James W. Bagley, chairman and chief executive officer of Lam.

"Although capital spending remains well below 1998 peak levels, we have begun to see an increase in market activity as our customers transition to 0.18 micron and implement new processes associated with smaller geometries. Lam's leading edge products for etch, chemical mechanical planarization and cleaning address critical requirements for the fabrication of these next generation devices, positioning the company for future growth as the semiconductor industry recovery strengthens," Bagley concluded.

Brian,

Any opinion on whether we are getting close to a short term blowoff top here? I've been in since the twenties, along with putting some family members into this stock. My trigger finger is getting a bit itchy in here.

Thanks,
John
