Okay...so that supports that they asked out...but then why did they buy originally? They must have intended to run something.
That Fox couldn't get rid of the spot astounds me...at ABC, getting rid of commercials that advertisers asked out of was part of my job. I'll admit there were occasions where it didn't happen, but I'd say I was able to place about 85% of the requests during a period of time in which markets were soft. The market isn't so soft right now, and I have heard that demand for SB time has been running high.
The only thing that seems to make sense is that it is a 60 second ad, which means they needed to find 2 replacement spots....but 60's don't typically carry a premium (whereas 15's do).

(Sorry, just looked at your profile...I guess you only follow Apple)

Either way, AAPL bought the time originally with some intent. So, was it this (supposedly crappy) ad, or were they planning another ad that just didn't cut the mustard?

As for being clueless....I suppose you read every single article in every single magazine you receive, not to mention every single post on every thread you follow. I receive 15 magazines a week, and follow about 10 threads. I don't really have time to munch on the details of every article or post I run across.....
You must be without a single flaw to criticize oversights of this nature.
