To T, Ghandour, and other bulls I know the frustration you are all feeling, because I have been there before with my own nightmare a couple years back. Months and years of following and supporting a company you believed in, only to get a sledgehammer right between the eyes. Worse, precious capital that could have been infinitely better deployed elsewhere in this the mother of all bull markets. At least you still have $5. I remember my nightmare, one of only 5 North American Direct-to-Home satellite companies that had absolutely everything going for it, went from $5 to a delist in just about three months. The parallels are there, a patient, loyal, positive thread that has never entertained the fact that their beloved company will never make it. A management that continues to put up a brave face and positive spin, when the results clearly indicate to all other than the followers, that the situation is deteriorating badly. I must admit that I owned Borland on and off since 1991, and have never made any money with it, although I threw in the towel last summer. That is when I came to the conclusion that this was hopeless. I realize most of you reading this will ignore any advice and ride this thing to the bitter end like I once did. Because to do otherwise would be a blow to your collective pride and admission that you were dead wrong. Today I would gladly swallow my pride for the chance to save the small fortune I lost when I did as you are doing now. I regret if I offended any participant on this thread, I did not intend it. While I did get carried away sometimes, I sincerely hoped that I could make a difference to someone out there, in helping them to open their eyes. I wish someone had done the same for us on that other thread. I know there is a lot of pain and frustration here, but still a lot of denial. Listen to all this "positive spin denial" here. Take a break, a deep breath, and look what else is happening in financial markets all around you. Taking a loss may seem unfathomable at this point, but all of you possess the intelligence to make it up elsewhere. If I did it, all of you can, and will too. Some may believe that I am a short, in shepard's clothing, but trust me, this situation needs absolutely no help from me to go where it is going. If this long diatribe only makes a difference to one single thread participant, then I have accomplished what it is I set out to do. Best of luck, now and future. Gene Piccoli
