And if you are so convinced that RACE is going higher, what do you do here? This is no RACE thread. My take is, that here good shorting opps, are discussed. RACE fits the criteria to some extent.

If you do not like the discussion, you may take your leave. See, we talk RACE going near $3, not 12. What's about the VoIP business of RACE. Very interesting, that business.

Folks aren't going to hedge their shares through a short transaction at $8 if the
stock is going higher.

There is no gaurantee of the stock going higher. By shorting the hell out of the stock, there is a 100% gaurantee of driving it down. Like Christian said, this is riskless arbitrage for the convert holders. Something you will soon learn.
