OT OT OT

Looks like the gods were smiling on me today.

I put in a limit day order to sell my position at 24 this morning. :-(

It expired at 4PM.

The closing price at that time was 23.75.

I still have all my shares. :-)))

Does anybody think we'll see better than $31 tomorrow???

LSI Logic Tops Expectations,
As Revenue From Chips Climbs
An INTERACTIVE JOURNAL News Roundup

LSI Logic Corp. released fourth-quarter results that topped analysts' expectations, helped by a rise in chip sales for networking and storage gear.

For the fourth quarter, the Milpitas, Calif., semiconductor maker posted net income of $13 million, or nine cents a diluted share, compared with net income of $30.7 million, or 22 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. The latest results included a $17 million special item and $10 million of goodwill amortization. Income before the items was $8 million, or five cents a diluted share. Analysts had expected a loss of two cents a share.

Revenue, meanwhile, rose 38% to $445 million, compared with $323 million in the year-ago period.

LSI said it was well-positioned for an industry upturn, and pointed to several units that saw strong growth, such as the company's storage-systems division and its consumer-products division, which showed particular strength in video games and DVD applications.
