I don't understand this at all..

I really like your posts, but how can you say this ?

That's insane !!

Botched product launches...

Horrid financials (look at their balance sheet)

ludicrous executive pay (it made CALPERS List last year of systematic underperformers and excessive CEO compensation)

The K5.... Hell they had to buy NextGen to get a good chip, they could not do by themselves...

really, really bad yield problems (botched .35 to .25 conversion)

last quarter's "mask problem", where they should have shined...

and finally, have you looked at their stock chart since they have been in existence ? Looks pretty bad, probably worse than a money market..

I really cannot understand how a reasonable person such as yourself, with good analytical posts can come up with AMD executing very well.

One more thing. Intel very concerned... good

That's why they will stay #1 as they are not resting on their laurels and will stomp AMD into the dust (see above)

Just IMO

Take care Mr Scum

Scumbria, Re: My interpretation is that AMD is executing extremely well, and Intel is deeply concerned.

Well whether the execution is good or bad is a relative word
in this 2 horse race. If you cannot beat your competitor, you
lose. K6-2 400 by itself is great but comparing to what Intel
is offering, it is an entire different story.

We are going to see the result in end of 1Q99. From there on
ward, who knows.
