You're right... I got mixed up between the GTE and Sprint announcements earlier this week. It is Sprint that is using Cisco DSL solutions. You are also right in that ALA has a strong set of DSL solutions as well... but in deployments CSCO is leading the game. Heck they're even placing their DSL technology inside the DSL modem NIC's on the DELL machines.
