But if that's the only rationale for a takeover you can envision, you'd better sell your shares now.

Are you are expecting them to depose Windows?

A buyout at $60 would be only 25% over its yearly high.

I did not mean 50% premium over todays depressed price, but over $45 dollars of a few weeks back.

a 50% premium to today's close is not tempting.

Even at todays price, I would still find a premium of 50% tempting. It is a common trait for macfanatics to be unsatisfied at any price. In retrospect the bids from IBM, and Sun were quite reasonable, but the sentiment here was "no way"...
