Looks like today's spike was a pre-natal Friday spike :-) ... This is a clear validation of the popularity of ciena's regular Friday spikes by now. One conjecture and strategy (if the possible buyout is still a quarter away as someone here suggested earlier): loading some puts at Friday 3:45pm, letting them go on Monday afternoon; loading some calls on Wednesday (until Thursday spikes become popular next :-)), letting them go by 3:44pm Friday! (Once Thursdays become popular, shift by 1 day early)! If this is repeated for 7-8 times, will generate enough dough and then finally rest easy with some leaps around March 15, and then forget it for a few months (hoping to get rewarded in a few weeks)! :-) May work; then again may not! Who knows!

cheers,
-/Sonny.
