Dear Addi,

I hope that I did not cast my husband in the role of a criminal when I called him, "a hacker". I only meant to say that he writes code for the fun of it.

After I posted my message, I realized that " a hacker" might be someone of dubious character, a character who breaks into a company's computer system.

Indeed, on Christmas Day of 1997, right b4 dinner, my husband logged into his computer account and discovered that all his accounts had been closed. He had to wait until the following Monday b4 he learned that a hacker had broken into his account.

When he learned what had happened, he was amazed that his employer's security people acted so quickly.

However, Christmas dinner 1997 was a fairly dismal meal, a meal I won't forget.

Regards,

Mephisto
