Preferred Voice Completes Phase One of National Master Distributors Recruitment
Business Wire - February 01, 1999 08:50
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1, 1999--Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTC BB:PFVI), headquartered here, said today it has successfully completed phase one of its recruitment of Master Distributors, adding distributors in Boston, Mass.; Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Palm Beach, Fla.; Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and McAllen, Texas; and Detroit, Mich., each of whom has paid a fee for their territory.
G. Ray Miller, Preferred Voice CEO, said, "The Master Distributor recruitment program was directed towards well-established organizations with large customer bases already in place that could use the Emma Family of services. Early indications give us good reason to believe that large numbers of these customers are ready for our next-generation of services. "By recruiting, for example, Master Distributors who are currently active in the answering service business, voice mail or the paging business," Miller said, "we gain immediate access to hundreds of thousands of potential customers. Our Master Distributors are enthusiastic, experienced entrepreneurs with sales forces in place and marketing dollars available to get the job done."
Roy Emmett, a 25-year veteran of the personal communications industry and Preferred Voice's first Master Distributor, summed up the reasons his company became a Preferred Voice Master Distributor. He said, "We love Emma and the whole family of voice recognition services created by Preferred Voice, but more importantly, we understand that these services will radically change the way people communicate. They offer value to our customers that is very compelling, if we do not take the initiative and bring these services to our customers today, somebody else is going to do it."
The Emma Family of services includes "Emma" T.R. (telephone receptionist) that can professionally answer a company's phone 24 hours a day using speech recognition technology. The service can locate an employee anytime at any phone in the USA. Emma will screen calls speaking the caller's name. Emma has a voice activated dialing directory of names so you don't have to remember or dial phone numbers. Each service includes an 888 number for national presence as well as a local number in platform cities. Emma services can work from any phone (office, home, cellular, fax, hotel, etc.) located locally or anywhere in the USA.
According to Rick Stone, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Preferred Voice, "The basic qualifications we look for in a Preferred Voice Master Distributor are: 1) a proven track record marketing to small and medium size businesses, 2) a large existing customer base, and 3) of course, the financial capabilities to operate a successful company. To date, the distributors we have selected are key players in the personal communication services industry."
