Chas,

Not time to go short yet:

1) Today we had yet another V-bottom at 10:30. This
almost always means that that's the low of the day. See
my posts earlier on V-bottoms at 10:30. I've lost track
of how many we've seen in the past two weeks. (Six? I note three this week alone based only on my own SI posts here.)

2) Two big tout-fests coming up -- first one is next week
by NB Montgomery Securities, to be followed immediately
by Goldman Sachs. At worst, these tout-fests will
maintain the stock at current levels. See my post
earlier for a link for the complete 1999 tout-fest
schedule (as is so far known), and see the chart for last
year at this time to see how long it took MU to drop from
its Feh 5 high, at which point it was nearly cut in half.
Goldman Sachs is not to be messed with.

3) MU's move began yesterday at 1:30 or so. Not only is
this a time that does not fit my observations of when big
market-wide moves up begin, but it was MU-specific. I
thought we would see follow-through today (and we still
might), as well as MU-specific news, but it looks like
the news (or third-party (yeah right) rumor or analysis)
will be Monday at the latest. Maybe it will be the
opener at NB's tout-fest.

John
