ucsu.colorado.edu Here is the story of Dragonball. In the beginning, there was Son Gokuu, an abnormally strong, innocent boy living alone in the wilderness. As an aside, Son Gokuu is also the name of the trickster monkey figure in the Chinese classic, 'A Journey to the West,' and the Dragonball character bears some resemblance to the Chinese. He has a monkey's tail and a staff that can extend on command and, later, he receives a cloud on which he rides, all of which were also characteristic of the Chinese trickster monkey. So anyway... Son Gokuu is living an innocent life in the wilderness when Buruma, a spoiled teenage girl with access to all the technology her inventor father creates, shows up searching for a 'dragonball' in Gokuu's possession. It turns out that the little crystal ball that Gokuu had been saving as his grandfather's heirloom is one of a set of seven 'dragonballs' which, when gathered together, can grant the gatherer whatever their heart desires. In Buruma's case, she only wants to wish for a boyfriend. Gokuu decides to let Buruma use his dragonball on the condition that she give it back as soon as she's done with it and, in order to make sure she does so, he joins her on her quest. Of course, Gokuu and Buruma aren't the only ones searching for the dragonballs, and Gokuu becomes Bulma's protector when they meet others whose plans for the balls aren't quite so innocent. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This IS on topic. Little Q! has been through the trials and tribulations. They have been gathering crystal balls and power - they now have all 7. They have fired CDMA Gengki Dama gathered from all the shareholders, employees, customers, Xena Albright, Charlene Barshefsky, Si, Ga, As, electrons, photons and quarks and the Texas court is preparing to sit in judgement, so that King Ericy is now tottering defeated. Shortly we will be able to have whatever our hearts desire. Actually, it should be tomorrow or Monday - probably Monday since the end of the month is Sunday, not a trading day, so Monday should see Q! at $80. I can't wait to make some wishes! Mquarkce
