I may be mistaken, but it could have been Ian S. who mentioned the tradition a while back?

In any event, as someone else has already stated, there are no hard and fast rules about it. Then again I wonder if the TSE has some rules about it since I would suspect it would be classed as material information.

If I remember right every time they've warned it's been on
the first Tuesday following the end of the qtr.That would
be next Tues. Feb.2.

I'd really be shocked if they don't at least meet though.
