Too all,
Well first of all I would like to hear short term traders opinion's on what Athm's share price will be soon(3-4 mths). I am long on Athm but all stocks go up and down. If there is a correction the internet sector clearly will suffer. How long and what kind of drops is anyones guess, but everyone wants to know that S/T top.Remember the saying about tech's, buy on Labor day sell on Valentine's. Only the strong will survive the drop, I happen to think Athm is one. How cheap is ATHM compared to Yahoo? Why compare Yahoo? We will now be Excite/Athm, shouldn't we be valued according. Yahoo has 36 Billion Market cap, our combined market cap stands at 19 Billion. My position is that Athm will be one of those L/T internet players regardless of correction or not. IMO if you hold long this will be a very good stock to have in any portfolio. If I sell it would have to be at a very high premium to pay for capital gains and awaiting a correction to drop back into ATHM. Only one problem, I think everyone else is thinking the same thing. I keep hearing this internet bubble will burst and panickers will lose $$.I think this is unlike any bubble previously seen. In Athm's case I keep hearing this stock split theory that doesn't make sense to me. Although I would love to do a 2-1 or 3-1 I think we won't see a split very soon simply because of the Excite merger(then again it might persuade investors to keep their shares longer).IMO if T does give us Worldnet it comes at a price of 1 billion shares. Our trade off to compete with AOL is those stock splits. Somehow I know the institutions are justing waiting for that correction to happen. They missed the burst up but they won't miss the move up. The FCC has just givin us the Okay to take off, T will back us provided we do as said( any arguements?). Should be an interesting year. Also curious what other positions not in favor you currently see growing and why? I've been long SPYG for 3 years and it is my way to be in those non PC devices industry that will be linked to our Fast network. Go ATHM.
