zuma:

Great comparison w/AUD. Tenfold increase in last 10 years, but go back a little further and you'll see a nearly 80-bagger since 1970. AUD and PAYX take what is normally a headache for small business (payroll) and turn it into a neat white envelope, done right, and on your desk on time every two weeks. Cheap too!

Great service at a great price has resulted in 150 consecutive quarters (that's 37 years to you and me) of EPS growth for AUD, and still going.

CKFR has lots of the same "first mover" characteristics, in a giant market. IMO, Pete should get to know Josh Weston, who recently left the board of AUD after taking them from $40mm in revenues in 1970 to $5 billion today. Imagine how much he could learn!

Re: ADP and outsourced Payroll processing.

The new version of Intuit's QuickBooks includes an integrated payroll services, with direct deposit - for an additional fee, of course. It will be interesting to see what happens in this market in future as regards ADP.

Disclosure: I work in Intuit's small business group.
