We see eye to eye on that one John. Have you watched Hannity and Combes which comes on about the time of Chris Mathews? Its a good show and it is balanced and they have a unique approach in that each takes turn asking questions of the guests except that they each choose the guest that they disagree with to question (primarily). It is an hour long and they have different guests on all the time unlike Geraldo who only has Alan Douche-O-Witz and Jerry Falwell and that woman with the hi-pitched irritating voice.

The news after Rivera Live is pretty good, but by then I'm pretty "newsed out" if you know what I mean.

When Hard Ball was expanded from a half hour to an hour,
Matthews joked that the extra time would allow his guests
an opportunity to speak. But his questions continue to be
interruptive and long-winded. On the positive side, he seems
to try to be politically balanced and fair. And he does a
good job with one-on-one interviews such as those he is doing
this week with potential Republican presidential candidates.
