Well I don't know for one thing the GDP stat is for 98,meaning the past.GDP expected slow down in 1999.Interest rate adjustments will be based on performance of 99 not 98,rate will inch up if the momentum carries over to 99 not down,on the other hand if the rate of growth slows down to anemic levels in 99 then we may see further cut or cuts otherwise none as it should be.

Further on Cpq to Dell. Maria Cnbc: " According to Goldman Sachs the large trader (yesterday) moved 500,000 CPQ shares out and bought 1 million shares of Dell. Word was the trader felt CPQ was going as far as it was going to go for now"!

gdp news. no rate cut for a long time. this also means NO NEED FOR A RATE CUT for a very long time.!!!
