Andrew: A quibble I have with this analysis is that it seems to speaks of the 20% cut in the work-force as a future event. In fact, the cut was to be 15,000 and 10,000 have already gone. Perhaps the article meant to say that in the future the reduced work-force would contribute to lower costs, higher margins. But this was already implicit in earlier statements in the article about the prospect of progressively higher margins as the DEC acquisition becomes more effecient.
