<--OT--> Merill Lynch rumor on online brokerage deal.

Could be but saw both EGRP and AMTD mentioned. If Deutsche Bank has a stake in AMTD then they might buy AMTD instead of Merrill don't you think?

Anyways this is where I got the information.(EGRP or AMTD ?)

E*Trade Group Inc. (Nasdaq: EGRP)

Merrill Lynch may be gearing up to set up an online brokerage, BusinessWeek reported in its "Up Front" column, citing people familiar with the situation. The $64,000 question for E*Trade, Ameritrade Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: AMTD) and the other online brokerages: Can Merrill pull it off?

Here is the link in case you are intersted.
