Ignorance is bliss my friend.Enjoy your ride into OBLIVION. ATHM is the future, LIKE IT OR NOT!!!!!

Indeed - ignorance is bliss, especially in your case. What makes you believe that ATHM is the future? It still has a LONG way to go to gain market penetration. You'll be holding on a long time waiting for the cable modem to become as ubiquitous as the dial up is today.

The winner will be whoever can gain market share on a mass consumer level. Now, you think Joe 6 pack is going to spend a few hundred dollars to get set up with a cable modem, NIC card and $50 subscription fees? Until there is some truly compelling reason to get xMB of bandwith -- why bother?

Most of us on this thread are considered the digerati. We're tech savvy. Many of us make this damn industry run! But don't let your personal opinions get in the way of the mass market. Maybe tomorrow AOL will announce a buyout of x cable provider (Road Runner), or maybe a strategic partnership. Remember, AOL has the leverage of stock.

Don't get me wrong, I like ATHM. I consider a leader in its respective market. But don't feed me the line about OBLIVION -- because it ain't going to happen. ATHM is pipes, not content. There is a reason they bought XCIT. Don't get the road confused with where your going.

S.

ATHM is the future
Hey KY, I am a happy customer of theirs, "@home" through COX cable. It good, but you still fight the slow servers around the world. If you are a big downloader, its great! The Market is just not rewarding the small caps like they are the Big ones.
