Jim:

There were three cancelled Asian sats--M2A, L-Star 1, L-Star 2

You can forget M2A--PSN is in no shape to do anything now or in the near future, LMT had to bail out ACES. Indonesia is in shambles. The satellite was a special high power C-band monster--too much power, too much heat, an engineering nightmare. SS/L would have lost money on it--it is good it is kaput.

L-Star--you keep hearing rumors about a restart of this project, but it never materializes. The Thailand company behind this is in bad shape as well. Loral owns part, as does Echostar(at least early on they did). You would think it would have resurfaced by now if it is ever going to resurface. I would find it a pleasant surprise if it did, but I wouldn't count on it. One satellite would be the most you could hope for--not both.

re: "I am not sure I would want to be buying Amazon at today's prices and hope for even a 2 bagger down the road. I think Jack is right. The bubble will burst on these."

What scares the sh!t out of me is what will happen when (not if) that bubble does burst!
