Two permutations to the pending JDS deal that have been discussed to a minor degree on the JDS thread are: -Corning stepping up to the plate and try to take out JDS. -Corning waiting until the deal has closed with UNPH and JDS the making a bid for the new company. Any thoughts? Regards Glenn

Ole 49er It's with reluctance that I respond to your ridiculous post. Your first one (1068), merely puzzled me, this one really makes me angry. Your accusation is ludicrous and completely unfounded. I've never owned Uniphase and hold a lousy 500 shares of JDS as a small investor. How that squares with the manipulation you accuse me of is beyond me. Please don't respond, I have no wish to discuss anything further with you. I post this only so others on the thread will realize that I am not willing to be the subject of a baseless attack, and hopefully to reassure them that my motives are the same as their own. Simply those of a small investor trying to better myself. End of story.
