Question About the Specialist

Hi. I'm a long time lurker who's owned AXC since the pink sheets. Lately I've noticed a lot of discussion on this thread (and on the Yahoo one) about the "Specialist". This concept is new to me. In particular, I'm wondering why is there a specialist, what does he do, who does he work for (or who appoints him) and lastly, do we know for a fact that there is a specialist covering this stock? Thanks in advance. Back to enjoying the ride .....

It'll probably spike again after lunch sometime.....

Staying long until there is enough TV on the web, so I can install another monitor on my lan in the bathroom. Better than journals and sundry other mags.....

Does anyone know how TVontheWEB compares to Broadcast.com. I get a warm and fuzzy all over thinking that the new AXC acquisition could help to propel us to dizzy P/E ratios like Broadcast.com enjoys. Plus Broadcast.com gets rewarded for (.87)/ share earnings.

I know it is all relative but I wonder how the infrastructure between TVontheWEB and Broadcast.com compare. Any thoughts?
