Data Dimensions Enters Applications Maintenance Services Partnership With Unicare Life & Health Insurance Company
Engagement Follows Year 2000 Project Work
BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Dimensions, Inc. (''DDI'') (Nasdaq: DDIM - news) today announced it has been retained by UNICARE Life & Health Insurance Company (''UNICARE'') to serve as the sole third party service provider for application maintenance and support services associated with UNICARE's HanStar-2 applications. DDI will provide analysis, programming, testing, and production support services during the course of the agreement through its Applications Solution Center in Galway, Ireland in combination with on-shore consulting resources.

''UNICARE is committed to providing innovative health care solutions to our customers, brokers and health care providers. Keeping our information technology current and effective is one of the factors that will enable us to fulfill this commitment,'' said Terry Mayr, UNICARE's vice president of Information Systems. ''We have worked closely with Data Dimensions on the Year 2000 remediation of HanStar. Their systems knowledge and capabilities, coupled with a very solid working relationship between our two companies, made DDI the logical choice for the ongoing support of our key claims applications,'' said Mayr.

Paul Sabatino, DDI's vice president of Outsourcing Services, said, ''Through our Solution Centers and on-site consultants, Data Dimensions is able to provide responsive and cost effective application maintenance and support services for progressive companies like UNICARE. The experience we gained with UNICARE's systems, processes and people provides an opportunity for DDI to help UNICARE leverage the dollars invested in Year 2000 remediation. Our partnership will provide them with the ability to quickly focus their internal resources on new development efforts, while we take care of the day to day activities.''

Paul Sabatino, recently named vice president of Outsourcing Services for Data Dimensions, is responsible for the development and delivery of application outsourcing solutions for DDI customers.
