LT, drillers are already at new lows. the market is pricing in oil's obselecence. Just as you contend the overall market is waaaay overbought, I contend oil service is waaaaay oversold.

But since no money will ever leave the high techs, there will never be any money rotating into the oil sector <ggg>!

The oil patch has/is getting very lean and mean. They have weathered the storm well so far. For many companies, revenues are up in '98, something most semi cos. can't say. The P/E descrepancy between 2 cyclical industries like semis and oil service is unbelievable. The semis are in the midst of a big slump and they are at all time highs. The oil service is in a slump and they are at historic lows.

Crazy market, I can't wait to see it all unfold in the months to come!

Mark
