"I still find the characterization of Newt's dumping of the luridly detailed Starr report and Clinton videotape as "non-partisan and professional" highly amusing. Sure blew up in his face."

The Starr report should have never been made public in its raw form. It was crual, disgusting and unnecessary.

Starr should have done everything in his power to change Gingrich's mind. I don't know if he did, but he should have. As to the content, given the nature of Clinton's defense, Starr had no choice.

Look, I find the mutual recriminations on this thread tiresome, and I don't know who started it. I wish you would all stop, not just you, but jlallen and lorrie coey and pilch et al. Anyway, I don't know about everyone else on my side of the thread, but I do know about myself and a number of my acquaintances, and I know that Andrew Sullivan's analysis, while not entirely wrong, is overblown and a bit presumptuous.

For the record, this was my first post to you.
Message 5795718

After that, you spewed a littany of partisan hatred. You can post all my responses you want, but your hateful inaccuracies needed to be refuted.

Now you go around crowing about others. You're pathetic, Shemp.
