Bob, My comments regarding trading use the term "may" to allow for the possibility that the statement is incorrect. I do not claim that the increased volume is due to the rumor mill, I simply allow for the possibility. Henry's comments on trading are sometimes too black & white when clearly there should be some gray. My major point to Henry is that as a Scientist, he is our resident expert and I appreciate his related comments. However, trading behavior is not his area of expertise as evidenced by Ligand's performance over the past several years. I'm simply recommending he either refrain from commenting on trading, or, at least, present his thoughts in a more speculative manner.
