DaiS.
Many traders were waiting for news on partnership.
When they didn't got it, they bailed out.
I'm using part of my holdings for trade and I did it today, with better fills than I could hope for.
I will wait with the rest of my holding for future news and will buy more if we dips below 2.5 .
Regards
Amots

Do you want to know why Vivus is down after BLOWING away Q4 1998 estimates by 7 cents?

Can you spell M-A-N-I-P-U-L-A-T-I-O-N?

In my entire life time I have NEVER seen a stock that manages to go down on ANY hint of bad news (even if it is bs disseminated by the shorts)and never goes up on any good news (other than a temporary move created by an analyst upgrade).

Although I agree with Andreas that the cc did not paint a rosy picture for the first 1/2 of 1999, I believe that Vivus has removed several important uncertainties based on the information presented such as:

1)They now have a relatively healthy balance sheet.
2)They have an excellent CFO who is staying on for the long run.
3)The results in England and Sweden demonstrates that with effective marketing Vivus CAN do well side by side to Viagra.
4)Seems like the situation in Canada proved that if marketed to the PCPs, MUSE WILL be accepted as a safe and effective treatment for ED.
