Ray It is weird. I've started a ZINC thread so perhaps you can post your comment overthere. Stephen O

Silver Options:

Master Ray, thank you for your previous help with silver options......so far I've just about got a triple....this move looks like it just might be real.

Would you mind sharing what you are doing with options/futures right now? It would be very interesting to see how you are playing this move....

I am tempted to buy more options on a pullback. However, I am still at a loss as to what option price ranges offer the greatest leverage.....do you have any general rules for how far OTM to buy and how far ITM to sell?

Thanks in advance for sharing your ideas.

Comparison of Silver Options Performance

I was under the impression that slightly OTM options offer the best performance. Just for fun I did a comparison, and I was surprised to find that the way OTM options did the best.

All options listed below are Dec 99 Comex options. Prices are in cents.

Strike Price @ 2/05 Price @ 12/09 Increase
500 93.5 38 2.46x
550 63.5 23 2.76x
625 36 12 3x
725 19.5 6 3.25x
850 11.5 3.3 3.48x

Is this what usually happens? Or do the way OTM options speed towards 0 as they come closer to expiration.........

Any thoughts on what would be the best play for now............

Getting ready to buy more.....
