Use the Candlesticks mostly. That's just the name in case you're not familiar, not like throwing real candles on the floor and seeing which way they point or anything. If we get the kind of close we appear to be heading for today then we have completed a "Morning Star" pattern. The Morning Star is a strong Bottom signal...meaning, we have probably cleared all the profit taking from the run-up, and establish a firm bottom. Morning Stars also signal a reversal, meaning upward movement from that point (or it could lead to a horizontal movement). Unfortunately, there's no way to no how long the next direction of movement will last. Everyday forms a new indicator and must be combined with preceeding patterns. But, it's nice to see the sell-off end so quickly.
