Article on the Japanese hybrid cars (2 pages). Business Week Mag. Feb.8,1999. Environment section page 74.

The article is on hybrid cars but focus on Japanese Prius and Honda.
Prius batteries 20% of cost of car. At 10,000 batteries a month cost of a Prius would reduce production costs by 10%.

As I understand it, market makers inventory stock and then distribute it out of their stores at prices which are "attractive" in some way. So We could be seeing market makers selling their stock right now, rather than people like us. If they bought a lot of shares on ECD's long journey down from 15 to 4 1/2, then they've got a lot a inventory to go through before they'll be interested in raising their bid price past 15. IN other words, they don't need any new stock, so they don't have to raise prices very much. The slimmer their inventory and the better the news, the bigger price bump we'll get.
