CobaltBlue, I remember the reports when they went through the debris that the government agents had so far found no illegal weapons. The wood may burn, but not the metal. The reports of an underground buried cache of arms was false also. Then there was no coverage, no reports at all. Blackout. We know that if they found any evidence of illegal weapons they would have trumpeted that news from Maine to Mexico. Then coverup. Bob

I do have a vague recollection that was the reason that BATF was involved, which would make sense. But, after the conflagration I wonder how anyone could say for sure whether or not there were illegal guns?>> My memory is going too, had to do a search to find Bentson. Anyway- I remember Clinton, Bentson and Reno on a stage the day after and after watching the two guys act like they never heard of Waco and Reno 24 hours on the job take the blame. I had a feeling the only person with a pair on that stage was wearing a dress. There was a claim the cult had an anti-tank gun. Now if I was sure I was going to die in a burning building and a tank was coming through the wall, I would have fired the damn thing to see if it worked. Remember Waco II? Randy Weaver. BATF SWAT team killed his wife while she was holding her baby. That was a couple of days after Waco.
